| 12V DC power source? Hi, My charger that I intend to use for my 12 cell 3600 MAH Ni-Mh battery says it needs a 12 Volt DC Power source. I am guessing this means a 12 volt car battery, but is that right or is there something else I need to know?

| Re: 12V DC power source? Take the power supply out of your computer LoL. The power supply for a computer is 12 v they work real well for my charger and they are cheap to buy if you have to almost everyone knows someone with a old puter that you can get one from. |

| Re: 12V DC power source? I use my portable battery jump starter that I bought for the car. It has a cigerette lighter adapter socket that I use with the Eskt charger

| Re: 12V DC power source? Hey, car battery works great as does computer power supply. You can also get 4.5-5 AH 12v batteries from many hobby shops (or online, but lead is heavy when considering shipping) for around $ 20, another 10 for the charger. Typically used to start nitro motors but will work great to charge your batteries too. Little more portable than a car battery Car charger is ok, but the DC's not very clean. In the long run that will affect your batteries adversely. They're also not typically rated to handle the amperage output required for long periods it takes especially to charge LiPos. Make sure it's rated for continuous output of 5A minimum.
