| CP heli that can be used indoors? Hi, Right now I have a Century swift and A Blade CX, my question is what is the cheapest, but yet still good quality micro or mini CP Heli. I would like something that comes with everything needed, but if that isnt possible something that comes with most everything needed. Also what would I need as far as a reciever to make it work with my JR controller, it uses an R700 RX, so would I just need another one of those?

| Re: CP heli that can be used indoors? I heard the Esky Honey Bee CP2 is a good one to use inside, also many upgrade kits for it at www.helidirect.com. You can also convert it to belt tail drive rotor for only $55.00, or if you want to spend more you can get a kit for $188.00 that adds the brushless motor, new ESC, the CNC tail, landing skids and main gear and shaft. The HBCP2 can be found on Fleabay for about $160 or less shipped, that is a Ready to Fly package, with battery, radio and the helicopter. |

| Re: CP heli that can be used indoors? Ok I just found out my budget has increased to $350, possibly $400. Does this make a difference at all? Also what is the cheapest Trex Setup I can get, I already have a TX. And if necessary I also have an RX that if cost needs to be taken off to fit under $350/$400. It is a JR R700 Slimline, the only problem I have with it is that it is an fm reciever. Anyways, anyhelp would be appreciated.

| Re: CP heli that can be used indoors? or look for T-Rex 450XL CDE kit with 3550KV motor and 25A ESC for about $205 from flea bay, that should keep it under $400. By the way, this one can't be flown indoors, is too big, more suited for outdoors. You need like a sub micro for indoors, Mini Zoom 100 is a really good one. |

| Re: CP heli that can be used indoors? The Trex will cost a lot more then that $400. I would double that amount . I know I have one..If you don't need a good radio you could get by a little cheaper... And I would not go cheap on electronic . I would never use a 25 A esc with a Trex.. It will burn up very soon.. I use a CC 35 esc and I wouldn't go smaller or you will be throwing your money away.. I have owned both helicopters Blade cp and Honey Bee cp2 and after going to a Trex.. Well,,,, you will never go back!!! Yes it's a lot of money, to setup a Trex and if you don't know if you want to fly helicopter's I would stay with a Honey bee cp2 and use two tail motors and a brushless main motor.. And that get to be a lot of money too!!!! The real truth is,, there aren't any good cheap helicopters !!!

| Re: CP heli that can be used indoors? I've a Honeybee CP2 and flown it indoors. Well, flown is perhaps a bit generous a word but it's been airborne. I wouldn't want to try a Trex indoors, unless we're talking gym or something, as it's too big. I'm currently upgrading my CP2 to belt driven tail and brushless motor, as I got fed up with the motor-tail of the CP2. Still a way off though, as the required parts are in short supply. Not sure it can be called a CP2 after that though, as it'll have new head, tail, motor and frame, as well as new receiver, servos and gyro. The canopy and batteries are stock though. Oh, and blades. ![]() |

| Re: CP heli that can be used indoors? You can call it the HDX300, which is basically based on the BCP/HBCP2, with aftermarkets upgrades. There is also the possibility to use a brushless small motor for the tail, it will last longer. I forgot which website I was on, but they mentioned a brushless motor for the tail. |
