Smile Battery placement

Hello

I would like to know where is the best place for the battery to be mounted. And is Velcro the best option?

Cool Re: Battery placement

For most helis, the battery is mounted somewhere forward near the canopy to balance the helicopter. Most micros will have a sliding tray under the frame and minis [like the 36]will have a tray built into the frame where the canopy mounts.Velcro is great for battery mounting-I used to use it in airplanes as it allows easy battery placement and removal without fiddling with rubber bands or straps.Of course you should use good quality Velcro[and enough of it]so that the battery stays put during maneuvers-you don't want the battery to fall off in mid air!
