Canidate Helis for lifting 5 lb+ payload

Hello everyone.

I am new to the helicopter world and I have a question concerning a project I am working on. Basically I need to lift a 5 to 10 lb payload over a distance of lets say 100 yds. I need to have the ability to hover at say up to 20 ft off the ground. I have talked to the guys at a local hobby shop and they said that this is on the very edge of being possible with an RC helicopter. Basically they say I will need a helicopter with about a 6 to 7 ft diameter, and I may need to use a large modified engine and gearbox. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of a project.

Does anyone know of any possible canidate helicopters for this project? If possible due to size constraints I would like to keep the diameter below 6ft and smaller is better. Also, should I be looking at gas or electric, etc.

As far as flying this helicopter is concerned, I will probably hire an experinced pilot to fly it.

Any input concerning the feasibility or how I can implement this project would be appreciated.

Not to put down the Joker (lovely heli ) but the gasser option is a lot cheaper
A Predator gasser or any of the current Gassers on the market will do what you want with a 10 Lb pay load and fly for over half an hour on the same tank of petrol, Fit a generator and a larger fuel tank and you could fly well in excess of an hour

Predator for sure.....for its money its a promising heli.....I am seriously thinking about getting one.

Prices range from $1000:00 US which includes a gas engine.....its a bargain.

The UK market retails the Predator for around £1000:00 sterling....which is still good value.

As far as I know this heli can lift a considerable payload.
