Hi Daz(DJLFlapper)

Why going a little too far? I don't know. Out of 50 customers, 49 may have no problems, the other one could have had really bad service etc. NO ONE! should get bad service. If we let this just run its course. We will end up where people have pages after pages to view. A simple itemized list of all posted links, with a simple guide to what they think(in general)

A shop owner could post a url of another shop saying he had bad service just to try to black list them!!!!
We have done this at one of my other forums (PC'S), with no problems at all. Even though we are several thousand members from all over the world. The thing is we all have been members for quite some time and sort of now each other.
I would have thought heli people would go to meetings etc, therefore know they arn't shop owners.
If its a problem!
just post a link....but with no comment

Actually, this kind of threads can pose all kinds of problems. It really has to be moderated properly. What I can do is to move it out on it's own section and Dredge can help moderate it.

If there's any self-advertising, it can be removed by the moderator.

If there's any defamation without substatiating reasons, it also can be removed. If the shop can't sue the person who posted the defamation, he can go after the site.

Well, dredge, want to take on the responsibility to moderate this section? I can set it up for you and move this thread there.

Listing shops

Hi Dredge,
Its not that it a bad idea just that as Steff and Colin have pionted out there is scope for abuse and this could get the site owner into lots of trouble.
I think colins sugestion is a good one though and would say that you sound like you have the experience to handle it.
As for the sort of know each other you can't possably know and it only takes one to spoil it for everyone else.
The only other point I have is that real genuine heli fliers are only going to recomend a shop if they are sure that it's good. They should at least have used the service and not be going by what someone else said.
I will leave this by saying If it is not abused it could well serve US ALL in the right way.
Good luck.
Daz,

Don't see why not Colin. Thanks

As regards to what Daz said: Why not remove the, bad service section and leave it up to people who have had bad service from a site, to just post a thread saying say " I didn't find ##### very helpfull...etc. Then if a site gets funny, they can go after the person who posted the thread.........NO...even better. No slagging off sites at all, pm me or a mod etc, if you get bad sevice from a site, then if a few BAD ones are received, remove the link to that site. That way no links to bad sites will be posted for people to go to...hope that makes sence
