| New Heli Flyer in the House Hey all, this sight is very cool, and really helpful. I'm getting my first heli off from ebay this weekend. It's a Kyosho Concept 30 SR-X with a OS Max SX .32 Engine and a Futaba PCM1024 Computerized Helicopter System Radio FP-T7UHP. The gyro is Futaba GY601. He is also selling me a bunch of other parts to get me going (starter, fuel, hobby box, etc.) I'm can't wait to get out and try this soon. I've been waiting to get one of these for too many years now. I'll keep you guys posted on how I do. Dave. ![]() |

| Congrats and good luck on your new heli. As a newbee myself, and not even close to flying mine yet, I've found out that it's not an easy thing to just fly one of these. You should try to find someone in your area that has experience with flying heli's to help you out. If not, pay attention to the good advise you'll find on here from the experienced flyers. A good simulator is a good idea, to get some feel of what it's like to fly one. The RealFlight G2 sim is a good one. I have one and it's pretty realistic. I know for myself, that I want to get a lot more time in on it before Actual flight. My heli's aren't completely set up yet and that's a whole different ball game. If yours is all set up, it will be easier for you to get in the air. But from what most of the experienced guys say, it's better when you build your own and learn the correct way to set one up yourself. There are a lot of good guys in here that will help you out, so have fun and keep us posted. |
