Actually an Electric heli would be a Bad choice for a beginner. The small ones are twitchy, fragile, and cost a lot of money. The big ones have about only 10mins of flying time with many battery packs, and you won't get the kind of practice you need as a beginner.

A size 30 'petrol' heli would be a lot better to start off with. I started off with a Hirobo Shuttle and still like flying with it. It's a simple setup, but with good performance, and easy for starters to learn. I would suggest you check out your local flying field and see what the majority of people there are flying.

Many thanks. Another factor is the noise that a petrol 1 makes. I have a large garden and a quiet electric 1 could be used without anoying people. Tell me if I am wrong because i know nothing about them!
