Trainer Heli: JR or Raptor

I'm new to Heli's in fact I just bought the Great Plains RC Flight Sim. I hope that helps me get my wings under me before I get a "real" heli.

Here's the question: My local hobby stores support both the Raptor 30 and the JR trainer heli's. I'm trying to figure out what direction to go. Are there any real advantages to going with one over the other?
Also as I get more advanced and want to do more advanced/technical things with the heli is there a better choice between the two. Please help as I am perplexed.

Thanks,

Phil

PS this site rocks for learning!

Question Which Heli

Sorry this is going to be short and sweet.

Ok, The Raptor is a proven heli, With plenty of upgrades that are widely available. As a kit that comes out of the box the 49 bb Kit, with 3D paddles and carbon fiber rotor blades (These will have to bought as extras) this heli will fly way deyond your skill level as a beginner.

The fact that this heli is so well proven and a lot of people use it should say all that can be said.

Good luck and hope you have many good times to come.
Regards
Daz,

P.s this is not a biased answer as I do not nor have I ever owned a raptor but if I were about to take the plunge this is the route I would take.
