Cool Re: battery Qs

I use a 1300mah 7.4 Lipo on my #4-if you go to 11.1V you run the risk of frying something.

Re: battery Qs

just looked at the product questions and the seller said it actually comes with a 1300mah 11.1v lipo. hmm if a new product comes witha 11.1v it must be able to handle it i guess

Re: battery Qs

I was speaking with someone about this the other day. He said that he got through motors too quickly when using the 11.1v LiPo, they just got fried. It was better with the 800maH 2 cell 7.4v. (Though my knowledge of electrics is still at the novice stage and I can't see how dropping the voltage to what is less than original in the MH batteries would increase flight time.)

Exclamation Re: battery Qs

i think lower voltage is drained at a lower constant
using the motor at minimul or medium power ranges.
on small helis this is alright cause u dont need so much head speed to get in the air. ur able to use the motor more efficiantly. with higher voltage u get a high constant burst. if the motor cannot handle that burst
it will fry
same with esc's for brushless motors
atleast thats my thought on it.
