QuickUK Upgrade fittings

Hiya

1st time poster, newish to R/C Heli's and need a little help

I owned a V1 Raptor 18 months ago, learnt to Hover, passed my Solo, then had a lot of financial worries, so the Raptor had to go

Now im sorted again I brought myself a V2 as they really are a very nice beast, the only fault I found was the plastic Washout assembly is CRAP and if you ever buy a V2 get the metal one

Anyhows..... on with my Question

I live in the UK, and as I got the new setup on Credit, this time I brought a whole heap of QuickUK Upgrades, they really are the dogs nuts, and they make the machine look pretty damm impressive!

I opened one of these and am having a little problem tho. remember, im fairly new to the BUILDING side, having got the ARF V1 before

If you go here.....

http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/acatalog/m_index.htm

And scroll down, you will come across this...

PV0005A : Metal Stabiliser Control Arm (2) - Raptor 30/50 V1/V2

now........ its a direct replacement, but the original has already got the sockets on obviously, these come with just the ball links......... no thread studding........ so is that all I need?? A length of the studding inserted then the ball links matched to the original length of the original part?

QuickUK Are great upgrades, but they only ever supply the parts, and for a noob builder, sometimes a little written instructions wouldnt go amiss!!!

Any help appreciated!! and if anyone has any other building tips regarding the QuickUK stuff please let me know

Chris

The link to the picture isn't working. I had a question for you though, I'm looking at a V2 kit, and I was wondering what you meant by washplate? Is that what they call a swashplate in the US? Also, do you think that it's a bad enough flaw to merit purchasing a metal one with the kit?

Hiya

Erm, I said WASHOUT not washplate

Swashplate is the same over here mate, and I would recommend the upgraded one of those if you can afford it as it does make a difference.

The part I refered to is the part the slides up and down the mainshaft, it is called the "Washout" assembly, and yes... the problem is really quiet severe........ I would recommend getting the Aluminium version as Thunder Tiger as yet havent fixed the problem
