I think the answer is too big to be listed here. The basics you'll need for a helicopter are: - The helicopter kit - The engine - The radio transmitter, receiver and servos - The field kit (to start the helicopter) - Some tools to put the helicopter together, set it up (so that things are in balance) and do subsequent maintenance. I've only had a Hirobo Shuttle Z-TS and a Kyosho electric helicopter, so have never got involved with small-scale imitations of full-sized helicopters. I think the Airwolf kit is an add-on body for an existing kit? "hi im new to this" and "first i would like to start with a big airwolf" This could be a risk of biting off more than you can chew. Find out what the basic helicopter the Airwolf body will fit, and then buy and build that basic helicopter. Once that's set up and flying (which will keep you occupied for a few months !!!) then buy the Airwolf kit form, add it on, and enjoy your new toy !!! Plus: Do make things easier for you, find a local helicopter shop and club that will give you help and support. Without this help and support you're totally on your own and, in my opinion, you won't enjoy your new hobby. |

[/QUOTE Hi, welcome to the helifever. Well, the first thing I can suggest is go to your local hobby shops and see what they stock up in there. Airwolf scale bodies are quite popular, so I'm sure there's many shops who has or can order them in for you. If not, you can always get a Bell 222 body can convert it yourself. Anyway, if you're a new comer to flying RC/Helis, getting a scale body of anykind is not advisable, unless you just want to put it on the shelf and admire it. A crash will send your hardwork and money flying as well. I flew my first bell-222 scale body only after I can competently control my heli is full forward flight and basic aerobatics. Here's a pic of it just taking off, with my other Jetranger beside it. http://www.helifever.com/images/bell222&206.jpg |
