| firecaptain Hi. I am a complete novice, and have bought a new America Fly 30 which I have been putting together for the past 3 weeks. Haven't flown yet, as have been attempting to trim everything, which is difficult, as the instructions provided were not very helpful. I have a problem now with the starter, as when I attempt to start the motor, it spins the starter ok, but the motor is not actually turning. It seems like the clutch is not engaging for some reason. The motor has only run for 30 - 40 minutes maximum, so I can't see how the clutch would be at fault already, but I cannot see any other reason why the motor won"t turn over? Any clues to help me would be much appreciated! |

| Re: firecaptain Might be a problem with the one-way bearing. I am not familiar with that model heli, but it sounds like either you are spinning the starter the wrong way, or the one-way bearing is broken.

| Re: firecaptain Thanks for your help. It seems that the one way bearing is the problem. I don't know why this would be broken, considering the heli is just new. Anyway, all I have to do know is find the spare parts and hope that it doesn,t happen again! |
