| Thursday night ok so i order a dragonfly sim and cable as i have read all good things about how people couldnt fly and now can after using a sim. ok so i couldnt afford anyhing better than the walkera one but being honest ive been made redundant so i couldnt really afford that (iam 20 by the way) at this point my weapon was all intact working and ready for a friday morning fly before goin to the jobcenter. i got the sim and cable for a nice £12.50 inc p+p off ebay which i thought was good. Friday morning i woke up with a couple of things i wanted to try. i can only just hover but i wanted to try a bit of rudder action - maybe a 360. so i got changed and picked up all my gear and put my heli down in the back yard and turned it on. as always i waited for the gyro light on my #36 to stay on and check all the functions which i have leant the hard way ie models just goin their own directio on due to me not checking something. and just my luck - the rudder didnt work but the gyro moved the servo. 10 min before disaster so i asked my dad if he had any ideas. the reply i got was ' lets have a look-could be something of nowt' - bad mistake 10 seconds to disater the heli was sat on our cofee table thats hadsome cups on and the transmitter on the sofa as he turned to move the rudder, he caught the 3d swich on his jumper - - i dont know how all hel broke loose smash cups blades and at this point we was panicking to turn it off so i grabbed what i could and ripped the battery out some how my mom killed me but i was more worried a bout my weapon being smashed up and it hadnt evan flown - the blades were new and hadnt been spun up yet so i was up set. now the problem wasnt anything to do with the heli at all as i thought it was. i opened the transmitter up being of a curios nature and i found that a ire was not connected to the potension meter. so i soldered it on and yes the rudder now works but is pointless untilmy dad orders sum blades Saturday morning - all was not soo bad my simulator arrived and iam practising with model i own wich i hope will get me fly a lot more compitantly than before sorry to bore you with my dull life Ashley |

| Re: could be a good thing maybe? Great story Sorry about the job thing, but look at the bright side - more time to fly.
