The "WIC" plan

My wife got into this Mary Kay thing and I discovered that the promote a purchase plan called the "HUP" plan. The "HUP" plan stands for "Husband Unaware Plan". The plan tells you to split the cost of your order between cash, a check and a crdeit card. This makes it difficult for your husband to figure out how much money you actually spent. Just curious, how many of us practice the "Wife Is Clueless" plan when it comes to the cost of our helis and spare parts.

By the way, if you are a Mary Kay person sorry for spilling the beans.

I'm in the WIC plan. Been an member for years. The only thing is that I just make sure that UPS guy drops my packages inside the garage, works like a charm.

Re: The "WIC" plan

LMAO,

Yeah my local heli shop participates in that scheme, Ive seen guys buy a £200 Gyro and stand in the shop picking the price ticket off and then give the till reciept back to the shop before walking out proclaiming that the gyro cost £30 lol. Unfortunately I cant participate in this scheme because my other half knows how much the stuff costs lol.

Take care... Azzy

Re: The "WIC" plan

There are far worse obsessions to spend money on......my recent heli project was fairly expensive (Predator) but I know of a guy who spends about 10 times what that heli cost me....on booze.....I like a drink or two (ok.....a few) on a weekend but to pee all that money away?

Yeah...Women can be quite sly at buying stuff.....so if you cant beat em....join em!!

Re: The "WIC" plan

I ALWAYS tell my wife the cost was around $75, regardless of what I bought. This is a pre-statement-arrival tactic that is quickly replaced with the standard IETAFFTIITAFP (it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission) approach...and I've been married for over 25 years. YMMV (your mileage may vary).
