Alas, I fear I may have killed it

I was happily humming along, tooling around the apartment when a random pot of left over pasta water jumped off the stove and swallowed my picco z last night. (I swear that's what happened.) I fear the prognosis is not good. It was dry this morning (they float btw) so against all better judgement I recharged the battery. No ill effects, and after three or four attempts I did get a response from the motor. I haven't had a chance to try to fly it yet though, as I had to go to work.
Hate when my occupation gets in the way of my preoccupation

Also hate pilot error and now, pasta

Errrrr? maybe the little fella was thirsty?!!!!?

I have found that electronics will cope with a rinse and a dry with a hairdryer....not sure about motors though.

One of the Pilots at work has got a Piccoz....lucky guy.....He has promised to bring it in sometime.

Check out my first pics on this site.....look for Hawkman and you should find 3 photos.

Quite. Thirsty + heli = bad
first thing I did last night after work was attempt to fire it up. At first it wouldn't fire at all. Flipped the switch on the heli a couple times, blue light flashing, but no motor response. On the third try, the motor went to full throttle, and I couldn't control it with the TX. Set it down, a bit frustrated and losing hope. Contemplating how to give it a dignified funeral Decided for no good reason to try to charge the battery again in the hopes it hadn't been shorted. Fired it up again, and all was well - it has been resurrected!!!
Perhaps it just wanted a break. Not being able to fly anything else at the moment due to weather (I know, an odd situation for California), I have been abusing it an awful lot.

Re: Alas, I fear I may have killed it

I had a little PiccoZ incident as well uneverno..Only mine was against my wifes Pantegonian Conure. I have never seen the bird so aggresive in my life. He never flys out of his cage, he'll come to the door and perch move to the top of the cage and then fly from there. But this PiccoZ messed him up. I was trying to tempt him, but never thought he would go nuts like that. He flew straight for it, at about the same time I was killing the power. He got I'd say within a foot away from it when it decended and he kinda hovered and then went back to the cage. It was quite intense. I don't know how I would explain to the wife how Chewy's head was chopped off...Not that it would do that, but still there would be some damage to the bird I'm sure. PiccoZ's are fine for killing time, mixing Pasta, and decapitating birds.
