So, here I am, listening to Eminem, eating ice cream and trying out the Real Flight G3 Demo, flying the Impala .30 with my ghetto keyboard. I pulled up the key function list and went "ooooooohhh "

An idea popped into my head - I noticed I could increase wind speed. So I bumped it up to max - 50 mph, and went to try to fly the heli in it.

^^^ I don't know who in the right mind would ACTUALLY fly with that kind of wind (almost a mild tropical storm), but hey. It's a sim I hit full throttle, and the heli takes off and dissapears out of sight within 3 seconds . After that, another light bulb lit up. What if.... so there I was, listening to Eminem, eating ice cream, about 1000 ft above the ground with 50mph wind, flying a dot . I kill the engine, and down it comes. Forget auto-rotations, this thing was falling like a rock, rolling and kartwheeling, at over 50 mph Came down and made a nice splat, and silence. There was pretty much nothing left.

Then I tried going insanely high again, and coming down to pick up as much speed as possible, and *try* to recover, hoping the heli doesn't burn up in the atmosphere in the process . I go up at full throttle, to over 700 feet. I turn the heli's engine down and do a nosedive. Next thing I know, a heli whips by the camera at 90. Too bad it grazed the ground... it rolled until it was out of sight

Well, that was fun. Can't wait to get the full version.

neat trick with the plane

fly then turn up wind and keep pressing home to change direction over n over
plane dissentergrates automatically funny
oh and for autos get to 400 feet and kill throttle with "k" then put throttle at 5 for pitch and youll have a good head speed keep nose down a lil but not copmpletely and when ur near flare up a lil not compelty nose up and press 6-8 and youll flutter down nicely
or level off bird at 5 pitch for incomming sliding auto

bah i kinda **** at G3 (oh and you can get the distributed version to run if you know what your doing :P) i always end up splatting into stuff

i find it easier to fly my real heli, which i fly pretty well tail in but still have trouble with forward flight

firstly to get the pirated version of G3 with dongle crack (you have to find it yourself as we dont endorse pirating here at helifever).
To run you must have a joystick that is capable of 6 channels, i use an XBOX controller cause i have a few lying around (search for how to wire a USB plug into the controller)

then all that remains is to map the controller through the gamepad drivers, then start the emulator that comes with the dongle crack version and try to remap the controll with that. and start the game and map the controlls in game (thats alot of trial and error)

after alot of trial and error you should be able to play G3 without a fancy remote and without forking out a heap of hard earned cash.

PS if you have a transmitter with 6 channels and a cord to your computer for it you can do it alot easier, and you may need picjoy for that.
