Re: Blade CP Down!

I have yet to install the second tail motor. My only concern is going to be the extra weight. I am told that by adding the second tail motor the voltage is cut in half and the motors last at least twice as long. I can't say that for sure.
I have just got my CP trimmed in to where I can fly it. Woo Hoo, I have actually goy the damn thing off the ground. I am still struggling with a good hover. I still wander a bit but not crashing.
I will let you know when I install the second motor.

Dale

?

I just got my new Blade cp yesterday, and have never owned, nor flown a heli (no experience what so ever). So far I've only done 2 flights and still have trouble learning to keep the heli in control (never went over a foot in hover), although I know it takes a good amount of time.

Of course, I've purchased the 'training gear set' and that helps out a lot!

Any suggestions? Web sites?

I guess i'm just asking for some guidance, anything will help, thanks!

Re: Blade CP Down!

dalefranzen: Just took a lookie at yer pics ... nice.
I did notice however that you have your antenna wrapped around that little plastic rod thingy ... not a good idea. On my HB as soon as I did that weird things started happening. Too much tail control, then not enough. Throttle when I didn't want it, etc... When I loosened the wrap those little glitches went away.
Now that yur dun building it are you gonna name her? I was thinking Franzenstein.

Post Re: Blade CP Down!

I own a Blade CX but I think the flying is close to the same...

I will say keep your traning gear on untill you can land very well many times in a row.( I got mine in december and I still use the landing gear. LOL)

Keep your flying simple, learn to hover first than start progressing in your skills.

I also advise you fly inside first so you don't have somthing happen like dalefranzen did.

If you fly inside try a jim or somthing of the sort. If you cant do that do like I did and move the couch and Table and all your obstructions out of the way. Set the Heli in the middle, slowly advance the throttle untill you get about 1-1.5 feet off the ground.

On the controlls don't let go of the stick so you are ready for what ever the Heli throws at you. Make small movements don't shove the controls forward or backwards, make small movement untill the Heli moves as much/fast as you want it to.

Be Gental with the controls treat it like a Beautiful Women. That will cause a lot of problems with the Heli if you are rough.

That is my little 5 Minute instructonal Forum post-e-Thingie

P.S. If you have any questions just Poat and I will try to read/help as much as posable.
