Re: Eazyi fly heli

I just bought it's big brother, the Outback Rescue and it's my 3rd heli. I learned on the Lama 2 and the Blade CX. The Outback is a little more advanced then the other two.

My $.02 would be to start with the Lama or the Blade first if the Alpine is anything like the Outback, move into that one next.

Re: Eazyi fly heli

I like it a good deal but it is a larger helicopter then the other 2 I have. It needs a good deal of room and in particular it needs to get to about 2 or 3' up before it starts to behave (ground effects)

Re: Eazyi fly heli

Kriss, I've only been at it for about 2 1/2 weeks or so. I have NOT mastered it! I can hover and fly some very sloppy and slow figure 8's.

For me it was a difficult learning curve. I had a good deal of trouble getting my thumbs to work independently. It is so much like learning to drive stick shift car in that there are so many steps to learn to make it work. I was told in the beginning that I would have trouble but then (very nearly) all of a sudden, it would come together. That is pretty much how it is happening. Sometime around the end of the 1st week, I started to get the hang of it - then it became much simpler. The trick is to have a very forgiving helicopter that gives you time to make your corrections.
