Cool Re: 4ch walkera dragonfly?

Be aware that even though they say 6 channel radio it only uses 4 channels. The 2 toggle switches are not connected to anything-the same goes for the push button switch on the right side of TX.It was probably cheaper to use the same radio case and leave the switches in than to retool for 4 channel TX.Be prepared to buy extra tail motor and possibly new servos after a short while.

Cool Re: 4ch walkera dragonfly?

I recommend heat sinks especially for tail motors-the hotter the motor gets, the faster the brushes burn up.I don't know about AU but I've seen tail motors on Ebay for $5.00 U.S. and many online dealers have the N30 tail motors for $7-10.00 U.S. GWS sells direct drive conversion available at Helihobby and others-I've never used one but heard they can cause tail wagging at higher throttle.

Re: 4ch walkera dragonfly?

I own 3 fixed pitch helis, and the 4 ch Dragonfly has been the best so far. It was bulletproof. I say was, because it did not survive a crash into a creek, although it did run for another day or so. I think all it needs is the reciever. It was real forgiving and when I broke things, most of the time I could make new parts. This thing was just beat to death and would still fly! I'm going to fix it and fly it again. I just ordered another 4 ch Dragonfly. I have a Thunderbird, a Dragonfly 22 with a gear drive tail and the 4 ch. The gear drive tail is squirrely, or mabey it is just me. All I know is that I bought another one because I like it.
