Re: 4ch walkera dragonfly?

heh I'm hopefully going to be getting one of these soon... I have the 36, so I know this should be fine. walkera doesnt' make the best quality stuff, but usually it does just fine, ESPECALLY BECAUSE OF COST! this heli is the best deal for a FP heli on the market. don't feel discouraged to get it off ebay though, just check out the seller first.

PS: how would the align 420LF 3200KV motor do on this? I'm thinking about getting a brushless tail and using servos from my heli, as well as the RX so I can save and get a barebone kit. If I used my heli having a brushless tail wouldn't be a problem at all as I'd just put the ESC control wire in the tail servo socket. No modding nessary. The reason I ask about the align is because it's already soldered into the Rx and I really don't want to remove it.

Re: 4ch walkera dragonfly?

I have never ran a brushless tail motor. Do they last? I just scored the other Walkera on e-bay for $1.72! It cost $40 for shipping, but what the hell. I have a shogan 400 and that new aluminum 400. I am having trouble keeping tail rotor output gears in them though. They both seem to be pretty stable. I put a brushless (Esky 40 amp) esc on one of them and it will freak out every now and then. Do you know anything about this? I have tried changing the EPA and it makes a difference of course, but I cant tell if it is better or worse. Got any pointers? On the FP's , I have crashed so hard and make parts out of aluminum. Somthing that works well for a tail boom is you get a piece of thin wall aluminum tubing that will slide tight over your broken pieces. It will bend up real easy, so I would put my wilres through, kink over one end, and fill it up with that polyurathane foam that comes in a spray can. Let it foam up real good (this makes a mess). When it expanding real good, clamp both ends and let it sit for a couple of days. the foam will build up a pretty good pressure inside and then harden. It is light as a feather, and can take several dirrect hits from the rotor blades or whatever else you can manage to slam into! You can make all kinds of little links and rotor parts , even gears out of aluminum or brass. I can send you a couple of pics if you want. You will be suprised to see what you can do with just a few simple tools. Anyway I will shut up and get back to work so I can support this habbit! Take care.
