| Best Electric? Hello All, Simple question but not a simple answer I would guess: What is the best electric heli on the market? I am looking for a nice heli for 3D and it must be electric. Price is generally not an issue (I don't want to spend $5000 however). So, if you could have any electic heli, which would it be? Oh, and as a side question, is there just the single body type for all electrics (at least to my untrained eyes they all have the same look)? Thanks Robert |

| Re: Best Electric? If your learning to fly and need a stabil heli for in/out side flying i would think that te alpine mini rc heli by venom and it has counter rotating blades(as showen in my sig) and has a li-po batterie so it can fly for 15mins but i don't know weather there cp or fp(probely fp) So enjoy and don't rush into it because as i say pations is a vertue. Lol c ya around.

| Re: Best Electric? Why electric only? Most Electrics that are 3D capable will be very expensive and the lipo batterys will be very expensive also. This is the only one I know of that is ready for 3D,Mikado Logo 10 - 3D Kit - Ready for aerobatics but this is a bare bones kit you will need the Motor,Motor Controller,Servos,Gyro,LiPo Batterys,LiPo Charger, and a computer radio like a Futaba 9CHPS to fly it and the ability to build it,this complete heli is going to be very expensive just the kit is $499.00.You also will need to know how to fly it and this is not a heli for beginners the cost of repairs for each crash will eat up your cash reserve faster than you will believe. If you decide to try something a little less expensive I can help you out,you could get a complete Nitro 50 size bird for a lot less than you will spend for the Logo 10 and replacement parts are a lot cheaper than for the Logo.Plus the Nitro is a good bird for a starter but you still need some experience flying though. You might consider a good simulator program to get the experience before you put out a bunch of cash for a expensive heli.Just my opinion but I know the cost and the time it takes to fly I have a large Electric not a logo but just as good and would take some upgrades to fly 3D but it is a good bird and I have a Hirobo Eagle freya 60 nitro also, but I started with a sim. |
