| Re: DragonFly 22 CCPM 6CH Helicopter I mentioned wallmart but target or any such super store will probably have this type of controller. These controlers are simular to gaming console controllers for xbox, gamecube etc but plug directly into the USB port on your home computer or laptop. the lefthand stick is spring loaded (auto centers) so constant pressure for pitch/throttle is a major difference to your TX. Any PC/console game store should also carry these and radio shack....long, long list. Online, just google search for (USB, "game controller") |

| thanks... but I guess this is not so cheap way to have something.. I have Dragonfly 6 ch remote with my DF #40, and it should work !!! I mean, I'd really prefer it to work properly at last, instead of need to buy for 75 or 100 Usd more .. . . . ![]() |

I'm not sure what your saying will cost $75 to $100 USD....but....I don't now what you would pay in france or any store name in that location. Here is one online, from Radio shack for 25 usd http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...ct%5Fid=26-780 True this is not the best solution but it helps alot......I've flow for two months now and....knock on wood.....have yet to do more than land hard once and strip a crown gear on the main gear. I've gotten nose-in five feet up moving fast to my right and towards me.....though I was shaken a bit....I regained a stable tail in hover without going outside 15 feet. All due to the time on the sim. |

Serial cable for dragonfly Windows 2000 Ppjoy, FMS or else.... nothing work. it's a shame years 2005 and more having not possibility to make things like this working.. if plug is there and reacting .. !!!! ![]() |

I fully understand your frustration with the tx not syncing up with the sim correctly. I've never solved that problem....I hear some say it works for them and most say it doesn't. Without complete details on your system, I would check the following: is your directX driver for win2K uptodate or the required version? (don't know the required version myself but can't be too much searching online forums to find out). does your system see the transmitter? look under start/settings/control pannel/gaming options to see if you have the controller listed. there is usually an option to test the controller. Do so if you can. check out some of the posts on rcuniverse or rcgroups http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/archive/index.php/ lots of info on trouble shooting sims in both forums. sorry I can't help more than this. |

| Re: DragonFly 22 CCPM 6CH Helicopter Quote:
I'm old hand at RC models.....but heli's add a couple more dimensions. In my opinion, the major learning curve with anything RC is orientation eg controling a vehicle that is moving sideways to you or more yet facing you. with RC models such as boats, planes, cars you have less need for constant correction inputs like you do with a heli. Not only do you need to correct as a heli drifts one way or another but you should anticipate that move before the heli actually starts physically drifting. In short, giving the correct input to the TX is critical and must be natural. If its not a natural response, than if something unexpected happens like a gust of wind an incorrect response will frustrate matters and you will most likely crash. a sim with a dual stick controller will get you used to making the right responses, crashing after wrong responses and generally make controlling the heli a natural response/reaction. All without actually having to buy repair parts. Of course you should get the TX you will fly with, working with the sim. Nothing is better than this. You will learn the skills using a game pad though its not optimal. |

| Re: DragonFly 22 CCPM 6CH Helicopter ok.. I understood that, if my TX not possible to work on Sims.. . better anyway to have reflexes and experience, even if it's with game pad . .. thanks. |
