Exclamation Heli Direct 288mm CF blade Warning !

Hey guys don't push those $25 CF blades from Heli Direct!. These blades are grate for basic fight and a little sport flying but they wont take the stress of 3D flight. I had a catastrophic blade failure wile practicing tic-tocks and inverted flight today. Fortunately no one was hurt and the damage to my 36 was minimal.
I had just transitioned from doing several tic-tocks (8 or 10) to inverted backwards flight when the heli suddenly developed a horrible vibration. I did manage to get the heli flipped upright and almost in to a hover just before the blade actually separated. The heli was at about 5 feet when it rolled to the left and hit the ground.
The worst part of this crash was that it happened in front of a bunch of plank flyers that I had almost won over to the heli side ( you old timers know what I mean) and one of them came up to me and through the severed part of the blade at me saying that it almost hit him.
The reason I'm posting this is that I've recommended these blades to a lot of people hear and now I feel responsible for the safety of those that have bought them based on my recommendation.
I've never had any issues with these blades before. The set that failed only had about 6 flights on them.

Hi buster
Welcome to the forum. I guess the old saying still holds true "You Get What You Pay For". I still think these blades are grate for basic flight and light sport flying but I wont be using them for 3D again.

Re: Heli Direct 288mm CF blade Warning !

I'm running a JGF 400 DH with an 8T pinion- Castle Creations Phoenix 25 ESC- HiTec HS 55 on the head and a HS 56 HB on the tail. I have a Walkera G006 gyro on there that holds OK but it will let the tail snap around if pushed to hard. At the time I broke the blade I was also using a TP 2100 mah Pro Light Li-Po.
