For a heli? I would struggle to think what battery would do that...you would be lucky with 10 mins...I average 8 mins with 11.1 volt 2100mah on my Trex 450...are you planning some 'world saving' mission with your heli or something

Re: what is a good battery...

I wish that I could find something too. As a newbie, it seems that by the time Ican get the heli up in the air and get the trim set so it soesn't spin crazy, my battery is dead and I have an hour to wait before I can get another 5 minutes or so.

I think that there needs to be several extra charged batteries available. Youswap the batteries out and keep flying.

yes for a heli, if you can only get 5 or 8 minutes why do i read some people flying there's for over 15 to 20 min. do these people not no how to tell time? or they are having a blast with there heli and just imagine they are flying that long.

Re: what is a good battery...

It is possible to get up to 14 or 15 minutes of flight time 8 to 12mins is usually what most people see. But it is directly related to the equipment and quality of the battery and electronics being used. Perfect gear mesh, eliminating as much friction and binding as possible and the mechanical setup of the heli will go a long way to help extend flight times. The way that you fly also contributes to the length of the flights. Wile learning you probable wont see those kind of times. Once you get to the point that your doing nice smooth hovering and slow circuits with out setting it down and taking off over and over you'll defonetly see longer flights.
