| Re: what is a good battery... Thunder Power are pretty good make. I time my heli as it flys...got a countdown of 8 mins...could/might extend this to 9...or even 10 mins...but I dont run a high headspeed as such...8 mins would be average. I looked at getting a Trex 600 or even the 500...but pound for pound I am not going to get any more flight time with this size...again you could get 15 mins...but for the size I might as well go nitro instead. Dont forget, hovering really takes more effort for a heli...full size or other wise...add some breeze and the effort required is less...add forward flight and yes....you can conserve some power. For a newbie it does '****' that you dont get much time hovering about....I started off with nitro and had 22 minute flight times...that was a Nexus 30SS with MDS 38 engine...for the record. |

| Re: what is a good battery... My battery's of choice are Thunder Power and Flight Power lipo's. There a little on the expensive side but they are some of the highest quality packs on the market.
