| Bad receiver Hello I am new to rc electric helicopters and my only experience to now is bad. I purchased a apache -64 4 channel copter and two minutes into my first flight the copter went down and a small amont of smoke came from the windshield area. The receiver went out on the part of the board that runs the bottom blades. I took the receiver out and connected the motor for the bottom blades to the connection were the top blades connect and the bottom blades worked fine. This is how I knew it was not a bad motor. I have since tried to work with the company I purchased the copter from, but have had no success there. I would like to purchase another receiver however I do not know if that receiver will work with my transmitter. My question is will the same make and model of receiver work with my transmitter that came with the copter. Another question is what does a crystal have to do if anything with a receiver. Any help would be great. Thanks Bob |

| Re: Bad receiver Sorry to hear about your trouble, Bob To answer your question, The receiver and transmitter will work together as long as they are on the same frequency, that is what the crystals are for. You should be able to use your original crystals and they will match Hope this helps, Neil
