Esky Trainer

Hi All,

Just got the Esky trainer in the mail. Compaired to the high dollar trainers, this is fairly simplistic, but I'm hoping will do the job. I am able to hover and move around very slowly. Did any of you learn on this program before trying to fly? Honey Bee King 2 will be here in a week.

Re: Esky Trainer

I used a very basic sim called 'EasyFly' it was for learning fixed wing stuff but had two helis on it...one was a Jetranger and the other was a '3D' heli....the Jetranger was quite easy to learn on.....the 3D was crazy....so touchy.

I had always wanted a real model heli...but promised myself that once I mastered the 3D heli I would then get the real thing.

I also used another sim called FMS which is free off the web....check it out sometime. FMS helped me a lot too.

It doesnt matter too much about what sim you use....not everyone wants to spend hard earned cash on such things.

Once you get into the hobby a bit more then you might want a better sim...Reflex XTR is a good one...you can adjust things on a sim like this...you can adjust a models weight and power output amongst loads of other things.

Re: Esky Trainer

The Esky Trainer you got is the Esky simulator set, right? It use the free FMS simulator, you can learn the basic of the flying and it is helpful.

Re: Esky Trainer

FMS is not a bad simulator.....it just lacks some features....the wind options are quite accurate....I thought so anyway.

I got a Mini Pred/Falcon 3D coming down....this has a free sim with it....its probably FMS.
