Micro-Electric

Here is my story of Electrics

Some 6 yrs ago i started with a shuttle Z nitro
crashed at least X6 at $125 each crash
of course learning on own in driveway
gave up but did get HELIFEVER !!!!!

last Xmas I recieved an Ikarus piccolo fun complete FP kit
i crashed about 75 times at least 10+ hard crashes
then i had to send off the piccoboard for repair the gyro $40
in the 6 crashes with the shuttle my gyro was spent
in those same crashes with the piccolo fun bought blades and some landing gear struts
about $25
i have spent all my money on upgrades believe me it's not cheaper with electric every upgrade = better flying heli
i learned to fly in my kitchen last winter Well to Hover
more than i ever got out of the the shuttle
with the piccolo after a crash if you can find all the parts
they pop back together maybe some CA glue

i have 4 piccolo kits now 1 Moth Orion setup , 1 Fun Brushless setup, 1 Cobra scale Brushless setup the one in pic by screenname and 1 Pro with all the Mods
most of my Heli's are in the photo section
I'm hooked i have HELIFEVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!
with the help of the Ikarus BB i learned on my own
i get 12-20+ minute flights with these new Li-Poly batteries
Li-Poly's = Rock-N-Roll
HELIFEVER RULES !!!!

keep it in the air
Turco

Just wondering,

Anyone tried the Airhog's heli?

here's the link

I'm looking for something really cheap to take to the park and just fly it like flying a kite. I wonder if this is any worth.

hi colin

i bought one for my son he's only 4
it's not bad you can't go if it's windy it will only go far in one direction,it's fix pitch and the more you pull on the trigger the faster it spins.you can't control the tail rotor what you have to do is let go og the trigger slighly for a sec the tail will move than you just realpy power and go,i found it was easier to hand launch it with my son at the controls than taking off from the base.he actualy landed fairly well a few times the fun is that when i go flying with my son he has his heli too.he parks it along side of my helis when we're about to go to the field.

hope this helps

yah pretty mutch you would have to realy
hit something dead on and even then it doesnt go
fast enough to do rreal damage.i dont think you can replace anny parts on it the worst thing would probably be to strip gears.the body is foam, blades are plastis and have a rounded cressant
moon shape to it to prevent getting hurt.with a little mcgivering
you go modifie the tail rotor to control pitch but then you have to change radio add micro servoes ect, ect.but would be an interesting thing to try.all togetter its a pretty strong toy.
