| I've come to the conclusion....... That FMS doesn't work with a Walkera Tx. I've down loaded PPJoy and it still doesn't work. I had control of vertical movement ( I think, may have just been a software glitch ) for a brief period, but that now doesn't work either. Please, I know it's seems to be a redundant question on here, but any help would be gold to me. I'm using: Walkera Tx for a Intruder 22d 4 channel Windows XP sim cord plugged into the " joystick" serial port FMS & Clearview Flight simulators |

| Go to [url]http://hermer.co.uk/fms/- site has FMS,PPJOY and a Dragonfly profile for FMS.There are complete instructions on how to set up your virtual joystick and configure the controls in FMS.After you download the Dragonfly folder move the folder to FMS.When you are running FMS you select model, load, then open the Dragonfly folder and you should see dragonfly.par.PPJOY needs to be running and minimized when using FMS and TX needs to be on.When you configure controls in FMS for 4 channel Dragonfly it is from top to bottom: 4,2,3,1-4,2,3,1 with 4,3,and 1 inverted. This may vary for different models but that's what my Dragonfly #4 uses. When flying,if you use the chase camera and maximize FMS you will get the best view of your model and response to controls.I just did this with my new pc and it works great! I hope this helps everyone who has had trouble with this setup.

| Thank you for the help, I now have limited control. I can roll to the right, but not the left, I can go up and down. I can pitch forward, but not back, and I can only spin the whole machine to the left, not right. This all makes it kind of hard to steer. Oh, and what sticks and directions don't match whats going on the screen. ( like elevation is controlled by the left stick, but only while being pulled to the left ) I have tried to configure though mapping/calibrate every combination possible I think. Where do I go from here? ![]() |

| Make sure your radio trims are centered before calibrating-make sure ppjoy is set to virtual joystick and is set on zhen hua 5 byte protocol. Then, if you have to,re-map the controls individually. For instance, move stick up or down and see which channel it is assigned to then check the corresponding box in mapping. If your throttle stick is moving the meter in channel1 then you enter 1 in box for throttle and pitch-same for the other stick movements.Rudder=tail,elevator=nick,aileron=roll.If any controls seem backwards then you go back to mapping and check inverted box for both same numbered controls.

| Re: I've come to the conclusion....... I seem to have found the reason why this won't work. It appears that the new walkera Tx's emit a differnt radio signal that no interface (ppjoy) can use. I guess Walkera is working on there own version of a fight sim? anyone else heard of this? |

| If your heli is CCPM the serial cable included with most helis will not work.CCPM transmitters mix channel functions and need an adapter or special cable to block mixing controls.I don't think FMS has a provision for mixing channels-a higher quality sim might work but I only use FMS so I don't know about the others.

| Re: I've come to the conclusion....... No. it's not ccpm. It has something to do with a new freqincey signal that no interface recognizies yet. I'll have to find the article and forward it to you. Wierd. |

| That's a new one on me!I know Walkera receivers use proprietary technology but the transmitters usually will work with other receivers on the same frequency. You sure you have ppjoy set for virtual joystick and zhen hua 5 byte protocol?I doubt Walkera would spend the money for new transmitter technology but it's possible. Why would they include sim cable and tell you to use FMS if they know it won't work? They already have enough disgruntled customers as it is!
