Wink Re: specifications for heli

I am new to helis but I really like the blade CP. I bought the alum upgrade kit from helihobby and rebuilt the one blade that i have. This helicopter with the Li-po is now able to hover much better and can take some wind now with the added weight.I like being able to buy inexspensive parts from a company that is always improving. Horizon hobby seems to be a very progressive company and the cost of replacement parts and location of nearby dealers make this O.K. for me.It was really fun hopping this heli up and also flys nice idoors.I like to be able to come from work plug in my battery and fly. The twin tailmotors do work very nice on my CP. Good luck

Re: specifications for heli

I put the dual tail motors on my E sky CP2. It is heavier, but you can move your battery forward and trim it out. It gives you a lot of rudder. I had to back off the gyro by about half. I can't tell you if the motors last any longer, because I slammed them into the side of my house. I am waiting for new motors before I can fly (or attempt to fly) that helicopter. I just got a Zoom Shogan 400 put together. So far it seems like it is going to fly great. It is very stable. The only problem that I have right now is it eats the tail rotor gear where it takes off the motor. I think I'm doing somthing wrong. I have bought 7 helis in the past 4 monthes, and the best ready to fly so far has been the E-sky CP2. I have a Dragonfly45 on the way. It is supposed to be a good one. We will see! I have a 4 ch dragonfly fixed pitch that has been bullet proof. Excuse me, HAD been bullet proof, I lost it and bounced off a tree and landed in a creek. It did keep running for a while, but now it is also waiting for parts. I don't have a T Rex yet, but I hear good things about them. I think a T Rex will be my next victom! Hope this helps.

Re: specifications for heli

yeah, thanks for the replies everyone. i think ive decided on the MX400. it seems like a pretty sweet heli. i found a brushless/lithium kit for only $349. it comes with everything except the transmitter. and i found a nice tx on ebay for $149, its a futaba 7 ch. if anyone knows anything that i should know about the MX400(same heli as the t-rex. i think) please let me know. what parts to watch out for or whatever or what needs to be upgraded first. you can see the kit im looking at on helihobby.com. click on electric helis on the left side of the screne and go to MX 400. its the lightning kit. check it out and see what you guys think, let me know if you think its a decent decision. thanks again for your time and responses.later.
