Blade 400 D/R Expo Settings

Out of the box it flew a good hover. Then took it to the club field and some one put it through the paces and made some changes. The last change was the expo for me, newbie. When I went to fly it, it was CRAZY at 30% A & E. For me this caused major over correction and find close to zero works best. I have a lot of time in on coaxials and sims and I think the 30 % was just too far off from what I'm used too ... in fact it was dangerous. You end up moving the sticks to such extremes on one axis that you inadvertently glance into the other stick axis compounding the control problem not to mention over correction on the one axis.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Also I want to get this back to what I'm used too. Reseting the expo is no biggy but I noticed in combination with that change the A trim is way left (midway) where I originally had it set at 2 clicks. Anyone know if the trim is proportional to the expo and should be returned to the spot prior to the expo change? It did hover hands off for over a second. Radio is the stock DX6I.

The club setup did give me an excellent throttle/pitch curve setup that I'm really happy with.

Ah, well thats the thing with other flyers and how they prefer the machine should be set up.

I have never used expo at all. I understand the idea behind it but just dont see the point for me.

I thought the idea was to keep the center of the cyclic nice and 'soft'? Why not reset the expo to zero and get used to how it flys.
