CP Pro - Drooping Engine

Hey everybody.

I'm entirely new to this forum and RC heli flying and need some help. Now that I have established a steady hover and dare to allow myself to do some moves, I discovered that my Pro isn't so pro at climbing. I've got the crash resistant blades installed, maybe that is a factor.

There are two things I need help with.
1. My heli start to really lift of just past half way throttle and from what I have heard, it should be at half way.
2. When I want to quickly climb, the engine seems to have a hard time and droops, allowing the heli to only climb very sluggish/slow.

Other than this ... I am enjoying the flying a lot.
Hopefully somebody knows how to solve these little snags.

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

Re: CP Pro - Drooping Engine

I am fairly new to heli flying myself, I just have the CX2 and love it.

No idea what could be your issue unless the servo is really weak, which I doubt.
But I will give you a BUMP.... hopefully someone can help you out. Good luck.

Try altering the power curve a little if you can...set the 25 % stick position to say 30 percent and the 50 % to say 60% and see if that helps.

Re: CP Pro - Drooping Engine

Depending on the radio, most are computer type these days. If so then enter the menu page and look around for 'Throttle Crve' or something like that...once entered you can then move the stick up and down and there will be either an arrow or some other indicator...by using either a dial or a button you can alter the line or curve to suit the throttle position.

Dont forget there will be some droop in a climbout, the tail rotor will be demanding power as well as main blades being at full pitch....

What is the radio? what make

How much pitch do you have at full collective?
