carbon fiber tail boom won't stick

I bought the carbon fiber tail boom for my cx2. Everything went together just perfect till it came time to use the double side sticky tape. It sticks fine to the tail boom side but servo side it hardly sticks at all.
I tried some sand paper to rough the servo up some but still no luck.
I am hoping Monday I can buy some servo tape and it will stick.
Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with this?

Oh it seems the servo has a plastic strip going around it and I am thinking this may be the issue. I didn't want to cut it off because I was not sure if it was holding the servo together.

Re: carbon fiber tail boom won't stick

I went and bought some servo double sided tape. It sticks a lot better but still not a good hold like it should be. Seems to cause the tail to shake more.

I guess no one has any issues with this?

Hi there, I am not sure of the problem as such....its not a heli I have.

You might have to make a bracket or something.

Is it the boom thats loose or the servo?

I wiped mine down with alcohol before I put it together and it's been holding really well. are you using one layer or two? the cx2 needs two to be thick enough.

No servo is not loose. The main problem is there is a thin piece of plastic that goes around the servo. This is where it will not stick. I even sanded everything to make it stick better.
The servo tape I am using is plenty thick, It sticks great at the top of the servo just not where the plastic strip is and at the bottom.
I am afraid to remove the plastic strip thinking it is holding the servo together.
