Blade CX2 VS ESky Dauphin CoAxial

I am totally ignorant about all things RC. I have flown my friends CX2 and want one for myself. While looking for best prices I found the ESky Dauphin CoAxial for half the price. I don't know difference between the two, they seem almost exactly the same. It looks like Esky only has 4 channels and is not digital.

How many channels does the Heli need, seems like 4?

top rotor speed
bottom rotor ratio
swash plate fore/aft
swash plate right/left

For flying around the house would digital really be any different?

It there any difference in the parts they are made from, are they interchangeable?

I only plan to get one heli and probably not mod it. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

I bought CX2 cos it has the 2.4GHz Spektrum AR6100e RX which I binded it to my DX7. I fly it mostly on windless days outside. Fitted new BLACKHAWK body and she goes sweet.

Re: Blade CX2 VS ESky Dauphin CoAxial

The Esky's electronics are not as good as the Eflight's. BUT, if your LHS (local hobby store) carries the Esky's parts, and if money is an issue, then get it. They should carry blades, shafts, landing gear, and basically all parts so you could build a new one if needed. That way, anytime you need to replace a part, you'll know they have it.

Basically, you just need to get the heli that your LHS supports. If they support both, then you can go by price. I fly a CX2 (& Blade 400 & Trex 450). I've modded my CX2 a lot. Once you get the hang of it, you'll want to start modding too in order to get more out of it. There are upgrades for the Esky also. Unbreakable landing skids, extended shafts (to stop blade strikes), other bodies, etc.
