E-flite Blade 400 3D hub

Hello, I know that there probably many more threads about this helo, but i feel i should start a thread to kinda 'combine' all the other tips and problem solutions-

Well anyway the blade 400 3D is coming to Australia very soon and i intend to get one But ive been looking around and someone got a problem (i cant remember who it was) where he/she accidently deleted his stock mode of his Speky- the solution was that it is posted on the e-flite blade 4003D website so he could just re-download it.

Well it would be nice if any owners had any setup tricks or trim tricks and any other tips... ooh and info on setting up the controller and wether its hard to do-- Oh yeh while im at it, is the speky capable with Vista? Regards Tim

Re: E-flite Blade 400 3D hub

Ok, BIG question!

Will i need to discharge the battery after flight before charging it?
Will i need to buy one of those lights that indicate how much battery that youve got left with red and yellow and green led colours?
Whats the average flight time i should stick to>? because i can use the timer on the dx6i by switching the trainer switch and that can count down or up from any given time and will beep when it comes close...

Any other problems that come up i will post

Regards Tim

Red face Re: E-flite Blade 400 3D hub

measure your linkages before you fly and might as well replace the three servos for the swash first you go go down you fry a gear on at least one. since i replaced mine with the hitec 65mg metalgear servos and Ive crashed a several times havent had to touch a servo or a linkage since you have to reverse them in the radio and center them slightly in the sub trim menu but do us both a favor and measure your linkages before you put batteries in the remote. and start flying be a pal and let me know what they measure from center to center of the ball links please. i havent been able to get mine to hold a comfortable hover if I set the pitch thew way the manual says in normal mode -3 to +10 and its driving me nuts i can get it to fly comfortably but I am reluctant to try any 3d tilll i get it back to factory first all I read about talks about the importance of the mechanical set up. and I know mine isnt right it sucks not trusting your setup. let me know what you find out. good luck and thanks in advance.

Danzi, you are not alone.

I'm in Perth and still waiting for my Blade 400 (mode2) after 3 months

Beginning to think it may never happen
