| forward flight solutions??? the cx2 "two step". the ship flies forward, the ship slows down, the ship falls back, stalls and start the whole dance over again!! some of us have this issue any thoughts? i tried too extend the servo throw. this gets it there faster but still does the stalling thing. "willow leaf" trick. thinking about putting a ballast to hold the nose down a bit. might have to hold her back to hover, but I'm thinking it may make the ship hold more steady level continuous forward flight. I'll post results in the mean time any other ideas? |

| Re: forward flight solutions??? I had the same problem and read on another site that mounting the battery under the gyro would help. I cut the stop off the end of the battery tray, added double sideded thick sticky tape to the bottom of gyro tray and velcro. Now I can mount the battery as far forward as I want. havn't found the best forward position yet, but it has helped.

| Re: forward flight solutions??? jeremy, I don't think you can completely fix the problem. The coaxle blades just balance each other out eventually. Moving the battery forward just means that it takes longer to balance. Another fix I have read about is shortening the fly bar. This again, would only help, not fix. It is also supposed to reduce blade strike. When the heli stops moving forward, I center the stick and then push forward again to keep it moving forward.

| Re: forward flight solutions??? i think there may be some truth to this. but, i beleive the problem is actualy built right in to this type specifically. the upper blade disk as a unit free floats unlike the lower witch is controlled directly by linkage from the swash. beings as the upper floats, in forward flight the upper array at any speed would be blown back causing the stalling and stopping action. just a theory. the conclusion i have recently concluded......hahahah thats funny. well... to sum it up the ship flys WAY mo betta indoors. last Friday my brother and i finally got into the local church gym this was the first time I've had a chance to let her lose indoors. we had huge runs streight foward with far less stalling. and actually under the right conditions, the cx2 is fast, turns nice sweeping turns and over all was a total kick in the ars!!!! |
