Cool now what !

Ok Im a newbe to flying these Helicopters, got my CX2 for xmas. got pretty good flying it, had it tuned so that it would hover without allmost any in put then started getting brave and it happened " CRASH " broke up the body and blades and bent the inner shaft, so I replaced everything new. now for the real probalem, I cant get it to stop turning to the right, is that yaw ? and is that what you all call tail drift ? I can stop it with a lot of rudder trim but that is a pain, tryed to turn the screw on the Proportional mix trimmer, it is all the way to the left and still does not do it.. so now what would you do next ??? it also seems to be alot more touchy now very hard to hold stable.. is it a lost cause... thanks for any help

Re: now what !

na ya just have to unplug the battery when you adjust the trim pot. if ya don't it wont make any difference how far you turn the screw.

after you adjust the screw. plug the battery back in and it should react differently

Re: now what !

well when its spinning i determine right or left. then i disarm the 4 in 1. and make sure the xmitter is off. if its right, i turn the trim pot clockwise. left counterclockwise. then i turn the xmitter on. arm the 4 in 1 and that does it. if ya follow that and it dosnt work, you may have fried the 4 in 1.

Re: now what !

It might not be a fried 4 in 1.....you may have one of the rotor shafts binding a bit and not allowing free rotation of the shaft. The heli requires equal rotation of the two rotors to remain still....not drift....so if one shaft is dragging, or one of the motors not performing up to speed, you will get drift and the proportional pot doesn't have enough to stop it.

Re: now what !

Thanks everybody for the help !!
Man these thing are touchy, Jim you got me thinking, I notice when I slowly add power the top rotor begins spinning first then add more power then the lower one starts, would that be an accurate indicator that its taking more power to spin it, maybe that motor is weaker?
Also just to clarify, if IM looking at the cx2 from the back and the nose is turning to the right I would turn the screw on the trimmer to the left or counterclockwise ??
It looks like keeping these thing runing right is half the fun.

Re: now what !

looking at the manual its counterclockwise. this also could be caused by missing teeth on one of the mail gears, now if it were, you would hear a clicking noise that wasn't there before. this would cause the rotor with the damaged gear to slip a bit too.
