Re: wobbly bottom blades whoops .. I mis-spoke .. it was the outer shaft that I replaced ... (actually, I replaced both .. but the inner was a no brainer) the old outer shaft had four holes in it, for the lower rotor head the new one only had two .. so the two lower screws on the rotor head didnt have anything to "go into" .. so they are just pressing on the shaft ... dont know if this has anything to do with it.

Re: wobbly bottom blades thanks for the replies ... I have been doing some digging ... and it appears that I am missing the two shims washers that are above and below the gear for the outer shaft to hold the gear away from the frame and the other gear. I went to the local hobby shop (eflight suppliers) and they didnt have them .. ( they call them step washers in the diag) anybody know where I can get these ? thanks again

Re: wobbly bottom blades If you have a CX/CX2, then most hobby shops that carry the eflight will have a screw kit that includes the brass washer that fits on the shaft between the gear and the frame. Kit is about $3.

Re: wobbly bottom blades If the washer is a plain one then you can make one. I have done this a few times, all you do is find some metal...drill a hole...and carefully cut around the hole...then place the hole on a spike...and gently file the metal...with patience you can make a nice washer or shim. Its a tedious method but if you get stuck its worth trying. A good tip, as you get through spare parts...even if the part is broken always save any metal bits...they come in useful for all sort of things later on.
