CX Question

Ok I am new to the helicopter thing here and i got my dad a blade for christmas (the red one) and i was out flying it yesterday and got a little carried away and landed it in a tree we got it out and it seemed to look fine but when i flew it today it spinning clockwise like crazy, it will go straight up in the air and start spinning though, ive tried what the book said and have no clue what now it seems like the top blade is spinning tons faster than the bottom when i turn it while barely hovering

Re: CX Question

well been there many times. any vibration? check to see if you can turn each blade set. you may have bent the inner or outer shaft. take the body off and look over eveything and do not over look anything. I to am new to the hobby. I was told that the best way to repiar the problems is to take it apart over and over agine so you learn. lots of other info out there just look. or you can take it to the local hobby shop. you will find yourself doing a lot of repairs it is just the begining. good luck

Re: CX Question

Hey there!

Thought I'd chime in! One of my helis is a BCX2 and I had the SAME problem...ran into a tree and I had the constant rotation even after I repaired all that was clearly/visibly damaged.

Just as the previous post mentioned, the shaft was bent and not allowing the coaxial counter-rotation to take its course. In my case, it was the inner shaft (the top thinner one). Replaced that and no problems ever since.

You will have great fun with that heli; inside and outdoors! I have a TREX 450 but limit my flying at the moment 'till I master the sim. So, I spend most actual flying time with the BCX2. This past weekend I upgraded all parts possible to the blue CNC parts, installed a carbon fiber tail boom and ordered a sport canopy to paint! My son loves to chase that thing around the house. I just have to be careful 'cause although it's small, it can still do some damage.

Anyway, check your bird out, repair and enjoy!

-Brett
