e-flite 400 battery time?

Hi Everyone... I currently have a cx2 that gets 7 minutes per charge. I'm planning in stepping up to the 400 soon. I'm just curious as to how long it's stock battery charge lasts? Looking at videos on YouTube, I have yet to see one where the clip is longer than about 4 and a half minutes with it in the air.

A couple threads here talk about upgraded or performance batteries. Can someone send me links on these batteries?

Thanks.

Re: e-flite 400 battery time?

You might get about 8 mins...I get this time with my Trex 450 XL with stock motor and ESC. I time the flight using the timer/alarm on my radio...8 mins is about right for me with 2100mah 11.1 volt battery.

I would expect almost the same time with the Blade 400...it might come with an 1800mah battery...which may give 6 mins...its 'horses for courses' you can get a larger capacity battery like 2100 mah which will give that extra time. If you are learning then you will hover a lot...this will reduce the battery time.

A good hint is: if the heli looses power a bit...LAND and let the battery cool..and recharge.

Re: e-flite 400 battery time?

I have the Blade 400 and have been running an Eflite 2100 mah battery and have been getting close to eight minutes. Other than a little rearward pitch trim to compensate for the addition weight I've been happy with the run time.
I will add (being a CX2 owner myself) take your time or work with a simulator because going from the CX2 to the 400 is a HUGE step...

Re: e-flite 400 battery time?

I have heard good things about the Blade 400...I really like the Trex I got...darn nice heli for the money.

I thought about the 600 rex but the endurance isnt much better...so I cant see the point.

Yes, be careful of the differences in flight...the Blade will be like a ferrari compared to the CX2...but it wont take long to get the hang of it....just take your time.

Re: e-flite 400 battery time?

I'm not gonna rush in, that's for sure... It's going to take a while to get the 400 from a LHS as it is. I'm not in a rush, leaves me plent of practice time.

Thx for the battery input.
