Question CX2 Forwrad Flight

Forward flight with my cx2 is clumsy. It moves very slow and with a funky pendulum motion. Is this with all co-axial?

Re: CX2 Forwrad Flight

I don't have a cx2 but you should be able to increase the servo travel on the receiver.

I am going to try that, but worried about blade strikes. A CP machine is looking better.

Re: CX2 Forwrad Flight

cx will never fly like a cp machine. but a good cp machine will cost three times as much! my cx also does the pendulum thing. its all hopped up and flies better than stock, it responds quicker and it does everything faster but, it still willow leafs in forward flight. I'll try throwing out the swash servo.

Re: CX2 Forwrad Flight

You will find that in forward flight the CX will do that, I have a version made by Twister its a Bell 47. After going forwards it will stop, so you have to relax the stick and push forwards again. I suspect its the two rotors coming into a state of equal planes of rotation.

You can live with it, a CP machine is different and a lot better. I respect the CX2 though, its a lot of 'bang for buck' and control wise I cant think of a better heli to introduce someone to how a 'real' rc heli is controlled. Yes a CP heli like a Trex is a whole world away but the good old CX2 is a great trainer.

If you are thinking of FP heli with motor tail rotor...I wouldnt bother...they are rubbish.

FP helis are hard to fly, the CX is the best of them.
