Re: Blade 400 going to the left

Found three bad servos, two stripped from my crashes, and one that whined when the heli was powered up. This had been whining the first time I started up, and the experienced heli pilot who helped me finally set up my Blade 400 said this was not normal, and was causing the heli to be unresponsive. After replacing all three servos that adjust the swash plate, and adjusting the Expo on elevator and aileron to 25% from 0%, and adjusting the linkages to zero the tracking it only took minor adjustments to make it hover hands free.

So if you get a Blade 400 check your servos and adjust your Expos. I tried to fly it as it came out of the box and it cost me $150!

Re: Blade 400 going to the left

Hi there,

Your right, there isnt really any such thing as a "Ready to fly Model Helicopter". I think it would be more accurate to call them "ready assembled". Unfortunately the people who are attracted to these models are the people who wont know if there is a problem with the setup.... The beginners.

Good to hear youve got it going now... Take care... Azzy

Re: Blade 400 going to the left

Eric I think the others never picked up on the bit about the simulator, sounds like you dont have CCPM working. When I use phoenix with ccpm it pulls up & instantly flips to the right as you say. Check the DX6i manual for setup.

Ross
