Re: controller functions

Here's a basic understanding of the stick controls.
http://www.raptortechnique.com/control_directions.htm

The only other controls on the BCP are the trainer switch and the idle-up switch. If your not using a buddy box then ignore the trainer switch. Leave the idle-up switch in the off position (pushed to the back). This is used for FFF and 3D flying. If you can't fly inverted don't touch this switch.

Re: controller functions

You got a long road ahead if you don't know that much. The "sliders" are the trim adjustments. You adjust then to "center" the joysticks.

Example, if your hovering and the heli tends to fly forward, you would move the trim slider down until the heli hovers correctly. Same for the other 3 trims. The throttle trim should be kept all the way down and shouldn't be touched until you are more advanced.

Basically the trim is a slight adjustment to the corresponding stick that stays constant.
