tail motor problem

hey guys ive got myself a little problem breaking tail motors. i replaced the rubber tubing with a piece of old antenna tubing for a more solid fit, now a tail motor wont last me 10 flights. any input would be appreciated.

Cool Re: tail motor problem

All you can do with stock tail motors is to put a heatsink on it,make sure it's not meshed too tight,and don't use higher voltage.Let motor cool off between flights-the tiny brushes in those tail motors need all the help you can give them!

Does it keep popping out causing the gears not to line up? There's nothing really you can do about that. They do make a direct drive mod for the blade if that's the route you want to go.

ive found that this time i bent the armature, must have rammmed it int o something. just replaced it and all is good.
