| Has anyone tried flying the Blade CP with 10T motor and lipos? I have my charger on the way and was going to run the 11.1v 1320mAh lipo using the stock 10T motor. Some people say it will fry the motor and/or the 4-in-1. I have a spare motor but the 4-in-1 is a little pricey. Can it be done? |

| Re: LiPo and stock motor on BCP? I heard that LiPos will burn up a 10T motor and could damage the 4in1. I also heard that if you're planning to use the flat bottom rotor blades with LiPos then it is highly recommended to use an 8T motor. |

| Re: LiPo and stock motor on BCP? I run a 3 cell LiPo with the stock motor with no problems so far. I don't use the flat bottom blade. Mine has enough power to lift fast with a 1500mAh 3 cell LiPo and it jumps in the air super fast with a 900mAh 3 cell. I do have heat sinks on both motors and they still get warm but not hot like with out the heat sinks. I hope the 4-in-1 live but if not I'll have a good reason to go brushless ![]() |

| ya i am using a lipo 1320 pack and im using the stock pinion (10 tooth) i have not noticed any problems with the 4in1 and the moter gets a little warm but it doesent over heat. i would suggest to use the heat sinks especially with the 3 cell lipo packs. Im thinking of getting the brushless moter because i can get a lot more run time and a lot more power ![]() |

| Re: LiPo and stock motor on BCP? The stock motor will handle the 11.1 volts. Infact, it will ahve the same life span as the 370 9t upgrade. the heat sinks help, but you have to remember that these brushed motors are really designed to take 6 volts. The 11.1v causes the brushes to get chewed up much faster, causing the motor to burn out. This is also what is happening to the tail motors (stock) when going 11.1v. To date, I have gone through 3 370 9t motors in 6 weeks total time. That equates to about 20+ 18 minute flights per motor. Thats a total of 20 hours of hovering since purchacing my CP. You can expect to have to replace a motor after every 7 to 10 operating hours. Not too bad for $13.00 per motor. Happy Flying!! |

| Well, I have 2 25min flights on the 1320mAh lipo using the stock 10T motor. After both flights I checked the main and tail motors and both are barely warm so it doesn't look like the motors are threatened by the lipo. I do get a couple of collective glitches during the flight and I'm hoping it's not caused by the 4-in-1 getting overdriven. I have no idea how I lived without lipos before. With the stock batteries as soon as I get warmed up the battery goes dead. |

| Re: LiPo and stock motor on BCP? Those collective glitches are probably from the grips become slightly sticky while flying. As long as your not trying to fly with eveything your throttle can give you, you won't overdrive the controller. If someone is able to watch the left side of the canopy while you're flying, ask them if the see the LED going from green to red. If you are going red, you are hitting the max power the unit will allow to go throught the system. This is about 5 "clicks" from full throttle with the trim tab all the way up. Happy Flying!!! |
