Man how many people have been suckered into buying a Blade CP after seeing that video. As an avid R/C'r I thought... Hmmmm. looks simple enough... could I have been more wrong... I've got about 2 hours on my blade and haven't broke anything YET... Key word YET... This thing is like a stress machine, my whole neck is stiff after having 50 out of control (close calls).. I'm happy with the purchase it's just alot more demanding than I had thought. The one thing that I did was immediatly get the heat sinks for the motors and change over to Li-po. They almost last longer than you want them to. Has anyone had any problems with the speed control not wanting to engage the motors intermittenly.. some times I plug in the battery and the red light on the speed control stays on no matter what I do. and sometimes I throttle it up and down and the light turns green and engages right away any help would be appreciated.. |

| Re: Are you Kidding me!!!! heh if it's set up right it's not THAT stress ful, but think of it this way, you,ve probably noticed that it takes all your concentration and just talking is risking a crash. well once you get good enough to hover somewhat steadly it's great as you forget about anything that you were thinking about. my suggestion is to try and move as much weight to the lowest points possible.

| Yea..I noticed that it makes a huge difference moving the battery foreward or back just a half inch. I realized as I've been able to just move it around without it getting out of control that when it's too far forward it takes more power to get it off the ground enough to get it to slide around but the tail tends to swing around a little slower. I just have to get my brain used to thinking about more than two things at a time... And then you have to get everything to flip flop as it spins around. I didn't have a problem with planes but you can't even compare... The funny part is that you think your gettin in cheap.. 200 bucks no problem, but I can see where they make their money... Parts, parts, parts. I'm thinkin about just gettin an extra chassis for 89 bucks.. Oh well, it's rainin today, mabe I can break some stuff on Sunday ![]() |

| Re: Are you Kidding me!!!! 3 week owner of my 1st heli, which obviously is the Blade CP. Fortunately I hadn't heard any good or bad news about this bird before making the purchase. I have graduated from kind-of hovering (hopping all over the place) to sneaking a 5' hover in once in a while. Upgraded the CP after the 1st couple of days with 3-cell lipo (1050mah), 370 main drive, heat-sinks and just replaced the tail-rotor drive a couple of days ago. Replaced with a GWS IPS motor rotating a GWS 3x2 directly. One adjustment I made was setting the rotor pitch @ +4 at 0 throttle. This help me out drastically. Living above 6800 ft means you have to compensate for the less densly packed air molicules. Perspective is driving me nuts, I know it all comes with patience and practice, but for me right now anything past 45 degrees off center forces me to plant the skids. Happy Flying!! |
