I just bought a new Hawk Sport painted canopy. My old canopy had to be cut to allow room for the muffler. I do not want to cut this new canopy so I am asking all of you what kind of muffler should I get and where can I get it at, that would work so I do not have to cut my new painted canopy. The engine is a OS MAX 32. Thanks Hugh Copgib@earthlink.net I need a muffler that does not go forward of the exhaust port when mounted.

| Re: Hawk Sport OS32 Question I found the same problem...the stock muffler that comes with the Hawk is too long aat the front end. I fitted a kyosho Nexus 30 muffler on my OS 32 which fits well and doesnt interfere with the canopy. I would say that most 30 size mufflers will fit....but its a case of comparing before you buy. | Hawkman, did you have to do anything to the muffler for it to clear the helicopter frame? Or did it clear everything without doing any changes to the body or frame? Thanks Hugh Copgib@earthlink.net |

Re: Hawk Sport OS32 Question The muffler cleared everything no problem.....the spigot that attaches to the engine block allows the muffler to rotate.....once its adjusted and you are happy with its position then you tighten the mufflers collar which tightens its grip on the spigot. You might need to go visit a shop and compare mufflers. Rob

Re: Hawk Sport OS32 Question Yip, have a Hawk Pro, same problem, had to painfully cut the canopy to clear the std muffler. The only setback i have had so far with the new heli. (About 4 tanks of hovering and 10 Circuits under the belt)

Re: Hawk Sport OS32 Question I chose not cut my newly painted canopy. Instead, I went ahead and purchased a Kyosho NE-9 stock muffler. It fits good without having to cut the canopy. Also the throat that bolts to the engine also rotates so I could mount it and the point the exhaust outlet toward the ground. Thanks for everyones input. You all saved me from cutting my canopy and making it look bad. Hugh
