| Re: creeping tail servo Help At least you get a choice, we have a company here that is the only provider. There was an alternative but that soon got squashed. Thats how things are here, GREEDY. Connection speed is low, and a bit hit and miss. The basic package deal is 300mb per month...exceed this and it cost 16pence per meg...so the basic deal is £30 per month...but can double or triple if you are not careful. Downloading a film is not a good idea It can all be checked at to the daily rate of use...but the company doesnt go out of its way to tell you this....cost one guy I know £1650:00 in a WEEK...poor guy thought it was like the rest of the planet and was downloading films. Imagine the helis you could by for that sum.So you are one of the 'Elite' eh? where folk are full of respect and awe when they find out you can master (or at least look like it) the mighty RC heli ![]() I find folk are quite interested, theres quite a few that would love to give it a shot. I dont always tell them the flip side...the crashes, cost and tears and sweat just learning to fly ![]() Rob |

| Re: creeping tail servo Help Yeah, monopolies ****! The cable tv people were like that here until satelite came in. As far as flying goes I tell people that it is as difficult to learn as the piano and costs $100,000 to start and they leave me alone! Which is not a problem as they usually leave quite fast when ever I start to do something that seems dangerous!LMAO

| Re: creeping tail servo Help Wish I had 100.000 bucks ![]() Yeah, the startup costs are a bit steep I guess, funny that there is little difference in price to say a Trex 450 setup or a typical 30/50 nitro heli deal. If people are curious enough I will stick them on my Sim to try it out, funny watching them learn.....I loved that time in my life, it was pure magic. Its a skill that no one can take away from you. I have nothing but respect for those that can really do 3D flying, that just looks great. I think I will stick with keeping my helis the right way up. Havent flown for such a long time with the gasser, going to take it to work and get her all set up again. Toying with the idea of selling it, I dont fly as much as I used to...got one possible buyer but havent heard anything yet. The idea is to stay with the TRex 450, I quite like that heli. Rob |

| Re: creeping tail servo Help Yes, I like flying my nitro helis but they are so much more trouble to get in the air that I almost always just grab the Comet instead. Most of the time I have just a few minutes in the evening to grab a heli and fly out one battery. I am tempted to chuck them all and get a 500-600 size electric and then live happily ever after.

| Re: creeping tail servo Help The only downside to the larger models is the cost of the battery packs plus the charger unit. I am the same with the Trex, just grab and go...its small enough to not be a pest...flying the gasser about without permission could bring problems...whereas the Trex is regarded as a toy...I dont mind ![]() Got some interested person who likes the idea of my gasser, if I do sell I will probably go the 450SE route plus some decent battery packs. Good job I cant buy helis too easy, I would be broke! Rob |
