| T-Rex 450SE CDE V1 Hi, I'm looking to pick up a T-rex. I'm looking at the 450LX CDE version & the 450SE CDE version from Grand Rc. I like the price of the LX but have heard you need many upgrades for this model. I like the SE for the bling factor/upgrades out of the box. Can anyone tell me if I buy the SE version will I have to buy any more upgrade parts for it? Unlike many others money is a big factor in this purchase since I am disabled and trying to support a wife and two kids at the same time. I'd much rather spend a little extra now than try to figure out how I'm going to get the upgrades later down the road. As for powering the TR EX I'll be using a Hacker A20-6XL. Can anyone recommend a ESC, battery, and pinion for this setup. I will be using a G401 and digital for the tail and probably an Optic6 or Eclipse7 for my radio. The SE version I was looking at is the V1 and I know the SE is now at the V2 stage. What if any improvements have been made over the V1 models? At this time the V1 is about all I can afford. I know I could get by cheaper by buying used but all Items in question will be bought new from Grand RC. I just don't want to have to deal will the shredding belt issue and the exploding tail and swash plates i've been reading about.Sorry for all the questions... I've got one chance to do this and wanna do it right the first time Blake

| Re: T-Rex 450SE CDE V1 What what I have seen about RC heicopters is you can always upgrade them. The SE has the best upgrades on it and at a price you would not be able to build yourself. Bob PS check out our T-Rex Page located at http://www.globalrcland.com/the_trex_page.html We have the T-rex starting from $199 and the T-Rex 450XL CCPM ARF for only $225 and the SE with ESC and brushless motor for $429. |

| Re: T-Rex 450SE CDE V1 Is it the TRex 450XL-SE or just the TRex 450SE? Its a huge difference. |

| Re: T-Rex 450SE CDE V1 These are two different helis.. The TREX450XL is plastic.. its kinda flies okay has two version the CDE and HDE.. one is mechanical "HDE" and eCCPM "CDE" the one I have is the CDE. it is okay for starters.. and as you go along you will have to upgrade parts... Now on the SE, I have the 450SE and this heli is fully equiped.. all metal parts CF framework and it flies great.. have had so much fun with this heli.. in comaprison with the XL.. well the SE is faster in command inputs cyclic is more precise and collective is precise too.. but it is a little heavier than the XL... flights well they both fly okay.. but you will have to upgrade the 450SEV1 to the V2 head and gear parts...
