newbie hello from anywhere usa

Hi y'all,

Chameleon here, puttin on miles and trying for new heights! been flying a blade cp and upgraded quite largely.

Got a new t-rex 450x and am working all links in and trying to break in swashplate. (new and tight you know)

thought i'd send a friendly hello and tell you I also drive semi otr. presently hello from greencastle PA. awaiting a load so i can make some money and support my habit/ hobby.

before helis, i flew electric jets, 3-d electric park flyers, and drove both electric and nitro cars and trucks. presently (in the truck) i have a mini 3-d foamy, a ofna ultra comp lx, a hpi savage 25 (upgraded severely), a blade cp (box makes a nice carry case) and a t-rex 450x hanging from the ceiling!

all this along with support gear is quite a feat to make room for but i make do. it's amazing when i get to a terminal and break out a heli to work on; how many people gather to see the wonder of it!! he he he.

anyway, hi all and if i can help i will as i know and have been lurking for a while and seeing the grand amounts of knowledge and help available here.

fair skies and VERY light breezes!
Chameleon

Re: newbie hello from anywhere usa

hi andy,

yes, it is one of those damn big a s s trucks. 53 foot reefer trl on a freightliner with a 500 hp detroit. pulls well when she isn't being stubborn. LOL anyway, now posting from Richmond va, left yuma az at noon on monday and it's now noon wednesday. not too bad... 2800 miles in 36 hours. (team truck)

on to other business... I turned my gyro around and found it to be the issue. I am still having trouble with tuning her in.. I have been following t-rextuning.com to the letter, but she still doesn't seem to be "stable" (using that term loosely) I have to constantly hold the tail, and hold her from pushing forward. any suggestions?

terrible t-rex twos. thx forf any suggestions.

Re: newbie hello from anywhere usa

hi barry,

west milford... close to god's country.. nice area. responding in long beach, ca. not the greatest area though... business district. but as close in as elizabeth, nj. little tight gettin around with 74 feet.

so, what do you fly? I am finding less and less time to fly with the coming shipping season, but i think i am gonna get caught out here this weekend with the pending holiday. gives a little time to get some stick time. i also am working on a 27" 3-d katana (flat foamy) to play with when i don't have kind winds and want to get into the air.

anyways, i have found a great store out here in montclaire, ca; called Pegasus r/c. they have everything you could want and more... i even found a pull start for my savage 25 upgraded with a wasp 28. hard find.

anyways, have a good holiday and may your breezes be kind!

fair flights,
Chameleon
